Need a Deeper Understanding on the Bible's Story of Creation?
As a student of the Bible, I had my share of queries and confusions, and that includes the topic of the story of creation. I am blessed with guidance from knowledgeable spiritual mentors. Likewise, the Internet provides a rich source of information and references. With an in-depth bible study, I got the following takeaways:
Genesis 1:1-2 describes God's first creation: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep (Gen 1:1-2, NKJ).
The first creation was destroyed by Satan's rebellion: Isaiah 14:12-17 (The Fall of Lucifer); Ezekiel 28:11-19 (The Fall of the King of Tyre); and Luke 10:18. "And He (Jesus Christ) said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven"
Several scriptures affirm God's creation of heaven and earth. These are just a few of them: Exodus 20:11 (4th commandment), 2 Kings 19:15 (King Hezekiah's prayer), Psalms 8:3-9; Psalms 102:25, Psalms 104:2-32, Psalms 121:2, Psalms 148:3-8, Proverbs 8:8-32, Isaiah 43:5, Isaiah 45:18, Isaiah 48:13, Jeremiah 10:12-13, Jeremiah 27:5, Jeremiah 31:35, Jeremiah 32:17, Jeremiah 33:25, Jeremiah 51:15-16, Amos 4:53, Hebrews 1:10, Rev 14:7, Ephesians 3:9
The Book of Job provides some accounts of the earth's construction period: Job 9:5-10, Job 28, Job 38;4-41, Job 37. Amos 5:8 also describes part of the construction period.
God actually created all things through Christ Jesus (Yahshua): Gen 1:26, John 1:1-3, Colossians 1:16-17, Romans 11:36, Hebrew 1:2, Hebrews 1:10
